It seems as though Shaun Kearney may have tapped into Cynthia Steefe’s core customer this time around. Romney Leader even went as far as saying, “The spring collection brilliantly married the Steffe girl’s propensity for sweetly feminine looks with the modern mix-it-up sensibility “. However, it looks a little like Gap and Urban outfitters teamed up for some Easter Sunday ensembles. I will give it to Kearney though for having one of the few collections that looked like it could be worn during the Spring/Summer seasons. When broken down, every piece in the collection was styled with a printed bow or a mint green skinny belt, or not styled with anything. How can anyone stomach that many ruffles at once?
This collection definitely took a little bit from everywhere. There were floral jumpsuits, elaborate folds, and cascading lapels all in floral, robin’s egg blue and lavender of course. After all, the ruffles and pastels is Cynthia Steefe, but it would have been nice to see just one clutch is an a beautiful neutral leather to compliment all that floral print and mint green.
